Painting black skin

I really wanted Bael to look different from all other minis I've done - so I figured he should be black. I also found it very fitting for a big, brutal killing machine! So at the moment I'm trying that out, not too good look yet, but I have few good ideas to try.

    I find a tiny bit of thinned out orange glaze on the high surfaces works well when painting black skin.

      Thanks - as you can see in the above post I did various thing, before I saw this post, but I might try to add a bit of orange too.
