To the Cargo bay

With a few shots of the whole (held together) model - I'll be putting this on hold for a few days. Couple of things missing, that I should get in mail sometime soon. Need to add some symbols, cables and mechadendrites, but until I have all the bit needed for the last add-ons I'll not be gluing anything on just yet.
In stead I'll be starting my Praetorian Herakli - huge VAT grown servitors, with big guns and who should be really hard to get rid of.

Legit

I was going over the legs last night, wanting to add some detail. But for some reason I could not come up with anything, so after some "perhaps...no, all right what about....no" I decided to leave them as they are and just rebuild the feet. They are pretty long, which is actually quite fitting for the Assault Engine configuration it will represent - The Maximus Assault Engine. Which is equipped with Gravitic Impellers - giving it a 18" move in the shooting phase. Really looking forward to getting this one painted up.

Full frontal

Finally a chance to show what it will look like once finished - the upper body at least. Only minor work, like adding a bit of weaponry and mechanicus symbols. I think it's going to look mean when it's done - yay.

Engine block

Desided that the previous shown weapondesign will instead be a Graviton cannon, as I got a new idea that kind of fits better with a Shockwave cannon. That means the first Myrmidon will be armed with a different HtH  weapon, one I've been wanting to use ever since I opened the Killercans box - the piston driven powerdrill, such a cool piece. The Glaive will be saved for the next Assault Engine instead.

Also got the engine finished. I had ordered some really cool engines from Blood and Skulls Industry, they are awesome looking, but way bigger than I thought. They will be saved for a future project, and I ended up customising an engine from a sentinel.

Graviton cannon

One of the cool experimental weapons of the Mechanicus is the Shockwave cannon. Ready to rip open both ground and enemy.

That's not a knife......

Wanted a really scary looking weapon for the Assault Engine. They are kitted out with a Myrmidon Glaive, so I figured let's try make one.

Little add-ons

Did a wee bit of engine/power source building yesterday, also added a few cables and filled in a lot of little gaps with grey stuff. On a more interesting matter I started finding the bits for arms and weapons.

Nothing better than a clean workspace..................

Assault Engine Concept

For some unheard reason it seems a few people have had a hard time seeing where this was going. Hence this rather/extremely wobbly bluetacked version showing the big lines of the construct.

More something.....

Still not sure what those bits are supposed to be, but I'm pretty sure they will come in handy..........

Optics and sensors

Was playing around with making some optics, sensors and various bits last night. Think it looks pretty sweet my self. Also stuffed a few openings in the fuselage, which of cause will be filed down later on.

The Beginning of....

So many different models and units just waiting to be made up - also just just got the Lady Death, but I really wanted to add something big - or at least bigger. So I dug out some bits and started building a Myrmidon Assault Engine, again one of those minis where the STC slowly has been showing itself in the back of my mind for some time. The plan was to add various sensors and optics to the front, to supply the encased pilot with images, sensory input and what not from the surroundings. Still very early WIP, but I always find it funny to share the building process right from the start.

A new beauty

Should have been painting some yesterday, but finally this beauty arrived in the mail. Been wanting to convert this for a long time - so I just couldn't help it. The plan was to make this the base for my Myrmidia assault engines.
It comes almost completely assembled, but luckily it was quite easy to get the bit from each other. Have a good feeling about this one.
