Hook finished

First finished mini for a very long time, hopefully it wont be that long before the next one emerges.
Hook here is the second of my Void Pirates, and I'm quite happy with the way he ended up. Trying to get a brutal, non cartoony swashbuckling look in to these. Cheers.

Long overdue painting update on Hook. I think he's actually coming along quite nicely.

Actually I figure that this guy only listens to Iron Maiden!!! Though Hook seem to take a rather slaneeshi road - I did not plan for that at all. Doesn't look wrong though!

Painting leather

Some time ago I promised to mock up how I paint leather - so here goes.

Step 1. Basecoat.

Step 2. Heavy drybrush

Step 3. Lighter drybrush

Step 4. Heavy wash

Step 5. Stippling orange and green.

Step 6. Light drybrush

Step 7. Highlight drybrush

Step 8. Heavy wash - repeat for darker color.

It might be the smallest update ever - but it's there
