Cool new Mechanicus minis and rumours

I have recently found this modeller Grim Skull Miniatures, who sell their minis through Wargameexclusive.com. Though some of it is slightly naked!!!!! it's some really cool mechanicus stuff. One of the newest previews is this scantly clad techpriest - I wonder if even an enemy would be able to concentrate fully on the war-aspect of things.

Also really like their Alphas!

Also some quite interesting rumours via http://natfka.blogspot.dk A "new" AdMech Codex - or to be more precise a combination of the two former, with added bits. None the less - great news I think.

"New admech book. Basically the two seperate codexes rolled into the big book with some new additions. The new additions are basically just leftovers from the last release that never got put into production. There was concept work done on two more types of battle robots and a new flyer of some sorts. That Enginseer from the Leman Russ bundle should also be getting a seperate release".

  1. I've picked up a few of the models on Wargame Exclusive and have been very impressed with the quality of the casts. As you mention some of the designs are just a little too risque/cheesecake-y, but most of the more restrained sculpts are quite cool! I especially dig the various 'combat cars' they've been doing, picked up a few to use as scatter terrain.

    1. Glad to hear the quality is good, as I, of cause, have planned to get a few pieces. As I see it most of them can actually be painted so the front looks like a metal/bronce breastplate/armour. That's what I have planned anyway.
Those cars are simply ace - there is a cool bike as well, I'd love to have a go at. You painted any of them yet? If so, any pics in your blog ?(haven't been around here for ages man - sorry).

  2. I think that were one to shave off the nipples, the techpriest would be super cool to include in a collection.

    1. I was thinking that too, but on second thought I'm leaning on leaving them - another recess to add rust/patina.
