Murder Servitors finished

Done with these killing machines. Quite happy with the way they turned out - mean, unhealthy and ready to rip out some guts.
Kept being really hard to photograph for some reason, the skin tone just wouldn't show it self - but the final pictures here are quite right colorwise.

  1. I was looking forward to seeing the checker pattern, and was disappointed when you decided against it. The chips/scratches break up that red wonderfully, and I can rest easy again. Great job indeed!

  2. Thanks a lot Dave. I actually was quite put down by the no checkers decision myself, but I couldn't really see where it would fit in. Luckily the shoulder guards on the last one were simply to large to break up only using chips so I found a possibility to do a small area.

  3. Im a big fan of the checker patterns myself :)

I must say that these models have turned out very nicely,
as Daves says, the way you break up the scheme, and tie the models together, its great :)
    Its really wonderful :)

    Cheers

    1. Thanks a lot Janus, glad you like them. I think I found a color scheme I like and will stay with for the rest of the army. The green is what does the trick I think.

  4. The models are beautiful - great work - but for some reason the grey base diverts attention from the minis - they looked a lot better when the bases had a black edge. More defined and crisp.

    1. Thanks a lot Jeff. I can actually see your point with the base edge, I don't think it makes the overall look worse though. I chosen this grey as it goes perfectly with my terrain collection and gaming surface.

  5. Really nice models, well done, the skin colour works really well with the rest the ...accoutrements, and it looks nice and creepy to boot. Good idea on the base edge, I get the feeling it'll make the models 'blend in' to the gaming surface, add a sense of realism in a way.
