First half.......

So first half of the half and half project is just about done - now to the difficult part, the second half, bit of a gamble really as I have no idea how it will look...interesting!

The Weed Burner

Continuing my venture into Inq28, with a fat bloke, I could only think of one proper weapon for him, a huge flamer inspired by my garden weed burner.

So what started as this...

soon turned into this.....

Fat added....

Once again I wrestle with sculpting - a big fat belly this time. Getting more comfy with it.

Inq28 henchman

The Imperial goose was killed and luckily replaced with something slightly more eagle like.

Really got some work in on this guy, almost done actually. I still think he's turning out better than average, so I'm happy. I am however not happy that I for some reason have decided to paint an Imperial goose instead of an eagle on the Writ of Execution - that's a redo mate!

More Inq28

Further spurred by all the Inq28/Inquisimunda goodness at The Ammobunker - I have found grounds to finish of the very first Inq28 model I ever made. I actually still think he looks pretty cool, however I'm quite happy to upgrade the painting some.

Jäger - The Debt Collector

After having a lot of fun cooking up The Imperial Bastard, I have had a lot of ideas for other minis and characters who would fit into the grim dark Inq28 setting. After seeing a fellow modeller build a retinue/collection of minis around a non-fighter - namely a Librarius searching for books in the wartorn rubble of the Imperial worlds, which was such a clever idea, I have decided to try out that approach. The theme for the retinue I will hold back just a bit yet, but I have started building the first model, which I thought I'd share - so here is the first few steps towards Jäger - the Debt Collector.
I have even tried sculpting some fur - while not a disaster it's not really great either, hope it will be better once it's painted.

   

Imperial Bastard finished

Fished up the base and took a few pics to night. I'm really happy with the way this model turned out, and tis will not be my last venture into Inq28 land for now. I found it so nice just working on a single mini insted of a unit - all the way up from concept, the converting and getting the paint to dry up the way I wanted.
