A small operation shaping up
I was so pleasantly surprised by the joy of seeing my minis all together in the last groupshot, that I had to make one with these guys as well. These will all be part of the same retinue - a small opration which area of expertise will soon be revealed.

Jäeger the Debt Collector finished
A bit of sparetime, rain and an really exciting audiobook have kept me at the painting table and I have finished Jäeger in no time :D wasn't sure about the red helmet, but I wanted something to draw attention to the face/head - works fine after all I think. Not as advanced a model like the more recent ones but I really like him.

Small Imperial taskforce
Couldn't resist a groupshot even though they were not made to be in the same unit - look good together none the less I think.

Rodrigo Menéndez de Márques finished
Finished off by adding the last few shades and powders to the base. Really happy with this mini and I'm actually thinking this might be my best piece ever. I'm especially pleased with the scrolls and the face - and the candles of cause :D

Last few details
Just need to finish off the base now - tried to work in some OSL on the candles but simply couldn't make it work, so they ended up without. Quite happy with the candles in all other aspects, not the last time I've added those to minis, that's for sure.

Painting progress and better colordisplay
Besides the progress on the mini I decided it was time to try out a different "display unit" for WIP photos, as I have been annoyed with the way colors were displayed when on the green cutting mat or whit tissue. So I cooked up this little display stand, which works pretty well I think. Might optimise slightly with a change in size for the imperial goose and add a bit of 3d effects.

Speedpainting...for me anyway
Really fast progress with the Inq Lord, this is about 3½-4 hours paintjob in all - which is really fast compared to my usual speed. Really like the way he's coming along - bought one of the gloss nuln oil washes from GW, perfect for black armour.
As I gave him a Spanish sounding name, I figured I'd try out a more brown skincolor, worked out pretty well IMO.

Trying to get that black looking black
Painting is continuing, really hoping the armour will look black once finished. Trying to keep the rest in a good mix of shiny imperial and dirty Inq28 style.

Candlelight dinner?
Been wanting to add candles to a few minis for some time - and finally had a moment to sit down and experiment with making some, so I decided to add a little detail to the base here. I think it looks really good, and I'm kind of looking forward to painting these to see how it ends up.

Lord Inquisitor
This guy will have so many titles the Vladimir Klitschko is going to look like a rookie....
I guess that at some point anyone doing Inq28 models will have do an Inquisitor. They are tough cool looking models - or sneaky ones. This guy falls in the first category.
Not sure if I'll keep the staff top - could look good with a huge hammer too I think. Shoulderpads are also still up for debate.

Drawing close.............
At last this is drawing close to the finish line. Like it better than a week ago, but still not really happy that I got the best out of a build I actually really liked.

Darn timelimits
Had some plans on entering a painting comp with this guy, but as I have failed miserably in submitting before the deadline - let alone finish it yet. I guess that will be a different project.
A couple of pics showing the progress so far.
